Bharathidasan University Campus, Tiruchirappalli
This is an Indian Marbled Balloon Frog (Uperodon systoma), photographed near SBI, BDU.

This is a close-up shot of an unidentified beetle, taken through the window pane in my department.

Captured on the BDU hostel rooftop, this photo perfectly blends sunlight with fresh leaves for a moment of pure joy.

Young spiders emerged from a Signature spider’s web at BDU’s hostel

BDU is a paradise when viewed through the lens of colors and light!

My favorite bird at BDU. The Rufous Treepie (Dendrocitta vagabunda). It belongs to the Corvidae (crow) family!!

At BDU, this bird’s evening calls of 'Ku li ling' and its distant response are a common and delightful sight near the hostels and Physics building.

I am not sure if this is a mosquito or moth, but I spent hours zooming in to capture its tail vibrating like protein side chains.

At Mathur seasonal lake, Mahamuni is in action!!

Moth or insect? (Twilight mode) — Colors and lights are in full swing!

At the lawn entrance of BDU. The compound eyes are truly fascinating, aren’t they?

The gentle sun caught in the web of plants at BDU.

This shot through my department window has me more intrigued by colors and light than photography itself.

Thanks, Nikhil, for holding the leaf; this twilight shot with sunlight through its skeleton turned out beautifully.

Captured the Yellow Pansy butterfly near the lawn at the BDU entrance!

Here's a shot of ants and a frog skeleton at BDU—nature never truly has a zero, as even skeletons return to the earth as calcium.

This is a Four-Leaf Clover plant, which is edible. It was photographed at the pond opposite Porunai Hostel, BDU.

Dominant termites at BDU are active in large numbers at night. This photo was taken during a night field trip with side lighting.

Here are views of the Antlion at BDU—intimidating yet captivating.

A dragonfly captured through the lens of a Nokia Lumia camera.

A fly on a glass pane at my center, captured with a Nokia Lumia camera.

A butterfly larva attempting to cross the road in the morning.

Mantis or hopper? What do you think?

A scorpion within the BDU campus, holding an insect in its pincers.

Dominant geckos in the BDU campus, captured during a night field trip with an artificial light source.

Here are common Palamneus scorpions from BDU, captured thanks to Mr. Suvaithenamudhan’s help.

The Tiger Beetle (Lophyra species) found inside the BDU campus.

Another view of the Tiger Beetle (Lophyra species) found inside the BDU campus.

The Common Asian Toad (Duttaphrynus melanostictus) observed on a door pane.

One of the dominant spider species at the BDU campus: the Wind Scorpion (Camel Spider).

The chameleon in all its glory.

Captured an Amegilla cingulata bee at my department—bees are surprisingly beautiful and lovely!

Blue-tailed Bee-eaters in my campus. Although taken with a point-and-shoot camera, the bird's cuteness is captured beautifully.

Termites in action! This photo was taken around 6 a.m. at BDU. I was amazed by their social behavior and teamwork.

Chitrakoot, Madhya Pradesh
The Red-Wattled Lapwing at Chitrakoot, Madhya Pradesh—rarely captured up close. In Tamil, it’s called 'Aal-Kaati,' or 'human indicator.

Colors and light are everything! This photo was taken during a tea break on our trip to Chitrakoot with my professor.

At Chitrakoot, Madhya Pradesh. I love capturing expressions and emotions!

At Chitrakoot, Madhya Pradesh. This photo seems to capture the evolution of intuition—or perhaps even the sixth sense?

This wall painting in Chitrakoot shows the sun and moon—universal symbols featured in every culture.

The cutest show on Earth: a house sparrow at Chitrakoot, Madhya Pradesh.

In Chitrakoot, I captured a male sparrow and was thrilled to find the female in the frame too—truly a delightful surprise!

Taken at Chitrakoot, Madhya Pradesh. They are intensely focused on something—perhaps fish or food, I suspect.

Can anyone identify the color of the bird, especially the lower part? Is it yellow? No. Orange? No. So, what is it?

Aurangabad, Maharashtra

Unidentified spider and web from the Aurangabad workshop—an amazing night with Prof. M. C. Sathyanarayana and Zeeshan.

Puri, Odisha
At Puri Beach: Boys fishing, with perfect lighting and couples in the background. Thanks to all for the great shot!

Taj Mahal, New Delhi
Taken in the garden of the Taj Mahal. While the Taj Mahal is undeniably beautiful, this Egret struck me as even more stunning.

At Dindigul Home
This was taken in my home garden with a Nokia 520. It shows honeybees foraging for nectar at the curry-leaf flowers.

The Beauty of Kodaikanal Hills
The nurturing essence of a tree in bloom at Kodaikanal.

The deep blue sky featuring its majestic moon.

Top-down view of the Kodai Hills.

Velliangiri Hills
The seventh hill of Velliangiri Mountain seems small from afar but is a tough climb that will test your spine!

From the aerial view of Velliangiri Mountain: I'd shout, 'I AM THE HAPPIEST PERSON IN THE WORLD!' if I could live here!

Is this a hopper? Captured during our trek at Velliangiri Hills.

A millipede spotted at Velliangiri Hills, Coimbatore.

This is a treasured keepsake from the past. I recently discovered it in an old suitcase, and it holds a lasting memory for me.
